Electrical Energy Storage for the Grid a Battery of Choices

I bought 2 of these to use with my Ham Radio Station. It took 4 shipments to get 2 good storage batteries. One leaked and the other had a bent negative terminal such that the bold would not go through the hole. There were no problems getting credit and returning the damaged units, just took time for the replacements to arrive. After all is said and done, they are working - 2 in parallel and are powering my ham radio station. To do this over again considering the problems encountered, I would probably not order these again. I would look for something more robust. My radio does tend to pull the voltage down to 12 vdc under load. Siting idle the run a steady 13.2 volts. Lifepo4 storage battery Tender charger connected all the time. The two have been placed in a single wood box total weight 48 lbs.
Bought 4 of these to replace the solar energy batteries in a 48V UPS system. Lifepo4 solar storage batteries arrived unscathed, installation was uneventful, each battery came with a baggie of nuts and washers. Replacement was a snap and all the batteries are performing well. The 48V lifepo4 batteries installed and hooked up just like the originals and were considerably cheaper. They charged up fine and brought my mowers power back up to like new. I've only had them for a week. At this point I'm happy.

I have an APC Smart UPS 1500 that is protecting my AV and security equipment. Not long ago, it started screaming (Beeping) at me that the battery ( RBC7 battery cartridge ) required replacement. To say I was surprised at the cost of the fully finished battery cartridges would be an understatement. Thankfully I came across these lifepo4 storage battery at www.storagebattery-factory.com that can be used to easily make a replacement.

I'm sure it's fine, but due to not measuring beforehand it ended up being too tall for use in my generator. Make sure you realize there are no returns through Amazon for this. In their defense, ExpertPower did contact me an ask me to call to make arrangements to return it. However, due to so much going on at the time I didn't get to ever make the call. They don't do it over email, so I didn't get to submit that way. I'm sure the lifepo4 storage battery is good, just make sure and not do what I did and order it without measuring your space first.

I've been buying these lifepo4 solar storage batteries from this seller for a number of years to use in my mobility scooter, replacing them about once a year. I recently realized that the storage batteries should be lasting much longer than that (2-3 years), and my "loyalty" to this seller was actually due to the short life of the batteries. My most recent order was made in error, and despite my loyalty to this seller, they want a $15 restocking fee (that's 30%!!!). I will be purchasing different solar storage batteries from a different seller in the future.

So far it seems like a great 48V lifepo4 battery. I can tell from how long it took to initially charge it using the trickle charger*** that it appears to be just as good as the original new battery. Price and free shipping were great. It also arrived almost immediately, most likely because I am close to where they ship from. Be sure you not only measure to make sure its the same dimensions as the one your replacing but that the posts are the same.

After purchasing numerous jobsite radios over the years and being less than satisfied with the overall sound quality and features, we decided to just build our own. So far it is holding up well. I used a 110/12v converter I had laying around as a charger. It was putting out 15.3 volts, so I put a solar charge controller on it to be safe. So far I have had this power a car stereo on a moderate level for 48 hours. It started at 13.9 volts and after 48 hours was only down to 11.2 at medium volume. This unit has all of the bells and whistles that we could want all packaged into a 26" tool box:

I bought this to replace a battery in a Little Tikes ride-on toy (yellow Hummer). A new lifepo4 storage battery for these toys is around $80 after tax/shipping.......CRAZY! This battery IS BETTER AND CHEAPER! Yes you'll have to do a tiny bit of splicing and modification, but it works great and LAST WAY longer than even a brand new original lifepo4 storage battery. The original is 12ah and this one is 18ah....hence will last a bit longer between charges. Your original charger will work just fine for it too.....unlike another review states that it wont............

Purchased this to replace an Expertpower 14Ah battery I was using in a homebrew (converted Stihl backpack) power sprayer for our yard. The lifepo4 solar storage  battery had gotten too banged-up in the couple years I have been using it, and my battery charger finally started giving me an irreparable (multiple desulfating cycles didn't help) "shorted cell" indication. The new battery of electrical energy storage for the grid a battery of choices came fully charged, and works like a champ - after installing it, the electric pump on this spray rig sounds like I found a "turbo" setting!
