I purchased this solar storage battery first and then a 2nd one.I have a 40 pound trust trolling motor to move my inflatable boat and I have them in parallel, both weight less than 50 pounds, I spend hours in the lake, from morning til afternoon, going from one place to another and they still have remaining power after I am done.I recommend this lifepo4 storage battery.
They require regular maintenance, stocking backup distilled water to refill the cells, and testing. I am R-E-T-I-R-E-D and would rather sip my favorite green tea and honey, instead of worrying about those lifepo4 storage batteries. After all your care and maintenance, in a few months lead acid batteries still become bloated and unreliable. Who needs that unreliability when you will need backup batteries during a major critical incident that brings down your local, regional or national electrical grid?
The solar storage batteries came individually wrapped in plastic, then DOUBLE boxed with precut Styrofoam board.
While the Vmaxlr125 is slightly heavier than the older lead acid solar energy storage batteries they replaced, the fit in the reinforced battery receptacle was perfect. It was also a perfect fit and match for the parallel connections of the new Vmaxs to each other with our terminal connectors, digital charger and system.
While now I can peaceably sip my green tea, my system is finally sipping some reliable electrical backup juice now—and ready for a S.I.P. Event (Shelter-In-Place) to help protect those who God placed in my stewardship. With this paired with a 50W solar panel, I no longer need shore power on my sailboat. How long this will last is directly proportional to how much current you draw, but all I ever need is a radio and lighting, with the occasional charging of a phone or laptop battery. For that, this setup always allows for plenty of charge. Not a gel-cell, but 90% of the functionality as one for about 50% of the price.

Over a year of daily use and still holds charge. I'm currently up to 8 lifepo4 storage batteries and will stop at 16 for a little overkill. Using them with a 24v 6000w Aims inverter and have enough juice to supply approx 7 hours constant drain of 600w when the sun goes down. Pulling in an average of 400w with panels (will need to get more) so basically I can be semi off grid from 6am to midnight. With 16 solar energy storage batteries and a few more panels, I should be able to run 24hr. Note, before adding new batteries to my system, I let the older lifepo4 batteries rest with no load for two days of solar charging till float mode then add the new lifepo4 storage batteries.
Greetings, I purchased this item on 8-2-2015 from Amazon and used it for 8 days last September. It was installed in a Minnkota trolling box and was fully charged when stored. Upon getting ready to use again a few days ago the battery was dead and would not take a charge. The solar energy storage battery is just a few days out of listed warranty, but considering the short time of usage I believe the lifepo4 storage battery to have been defective. Any help would be much appreciated in getting a replacement.
